Ejypt was born into a home that loved music. At the age of three she began interpretive dance and singing. This talent led to her singing professionally, television production becoming a field/studio producer. While raising three children she studied cosmetology, a licensed hair stylist/make-up artist, image stylist, and the designing of her own clothing. Ejypt started singing in the church choir during her visits to her grandparents in Michigan. This allowed her talent to expand in to spoken word as a teen and still writing today. Since in Albuquerque, she has hosted, performed and show producing on the Public television Network creating quite a following. She released her first CD, a compilation of spoken word to urban Hip-Hop and R&B beats. She still very much involved in performance art has incorporated African and Caribbean dance into her spoken word performances.
Ejypt has hosted during the 2005 National Poetry Slam as well other local events. Working now on a new spoken word CD, coffee table poetry book; and The Queens Calendar. A tribute to the local female spoken word and performance/visual artist, while working on a degree in Liberal Arts. A testimony of great a desire to progress has proven learning never stops. In between school she assisted Major Move Entertainment (Jmar & SoFam) and community organization with production, booking, public relations and artist management. She also developed her production company Ejypt C. Productions. Ejypt, the creator/ producer of “Poetry Fo' Ya Soul†The only free style spoken word show blending performance artist, held in Albuquerque. Assistant coordinator for three years at the Alice K. Hoppes African American Pavilion (New Mexico State Fair) Expo New Mexico and three years coordinating entertainment for the local community Juneteenth Celebration.
