About Me
I've always drawn, as far back as I can remember. My first epic was at the age of four, on the raw wood window sill in my bedroom. Divers going after sunken treasure, is the image I recall. I think that pretty much sums up the avocation of a cartoonist, quite neatly. I got in trouble for it. My first real gig, getting published, was with a small, but legendary publication in these parts: The Other Voice. It was "underground". I got in trouble for it. Later I would self-publish my own high school underground, entitled "MOTHER MAGAZINE, the magazine who will love you no matter what you do". I got in trouble for it. This led me to be discovered by some other kids who did an underground that needed a cartoonist, so I became a staff cartoonist for "The Daily Planet", which became "The Star", which became "The Third Paper". I got in trouble with all of these. I put the pen down for a while and took to television, but after I became comfortable with the technology, I start drawing cartoons again for a tabloid (I can't remember the name of it right now) run by activist, B.J. Mason. These cartoons got picked up by the "Zippy, The Pinhead Newsletter" and from there I was asked to freelance editorial cartoons for a local Gannett Minion. I did that for eight years and I got in trouble for it. I put down the pen back in 2001 and have just picked it up again. I sense trouble ahead.
