I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

There have been 3 things said to me in my life that have stuck with me throughout the years. Three pieces of advice, three reassurances, three warnings. They were said to me by my college professor, one of my dear friends, and my sister. For whatever reason, these three things have resonated with me and now, I will share them: My professor told us on the first day of class our freshman year, "Your passion will feed you." Since then, I've never worried that what I love doing won't support me. If you love something enough, that energy will come back at you, and yeild good things. To be able to spend every day working at something you love, and getting paid for it---I can't think of a greater blessing. Thank you, DLP. Second, my dear friend told me, "You have to make opportunities for yourself." I realized in that moment, I wouldn't be one of the fortunate few who "get discovered." I also realized that no one is holding our hand through this life, and if you want something, YOU need to make it happen. Take life by the scruff of the neck. No one else is going to fight for your happiness but you. Thank you Jonna...And that brings me to the third: my sister probably was not the first to say this, but it was she who said it to me, so I'm giving her the credit. She said "Don't be a river-pusher. The river will flow all by itself." There are times when trying to control everything that happens to you is just impossible. You can fight it, you can resist, but ultimately, what is...just is. Life has a way of working itself out, and usually, it's for the best. If you just go with the flow, accept that there are no coincidences, and open yourself up to the most fantastical possibilities, you just might find the simple act of LIVING to be an exciting miracle. Thank you, Amy. .. .. .. .. ..Your results:
