The Hobbit is the book I'd call my favorite, I love Anne Rice... both her Vampire Chronicles and the Mayfair Witches. James Patterson is wicked cool, so is Phillip Pullman's 'his dark materials' trilogy. I highly recommend picking it up. I also love Terry Goodkind because behind my classy front, I'm actually a super geek.
