Michael O’Mara and The Mulberry House Band

Michael O'Mara is a mid-westerner. Born in the shadows of Motown. A Baby Boomer educated by TV and Rock and Roll. Saw Elvis and the Beatles on Ed Sullivan and knew at a very young age that music would be his life long passion and love.Was in his first Band the "Infiltrators" in 8th grade, as a lead singer and tambourine player. Covered songs by Chuck Berry and the Beatles, and many other English Invasion Bands like the Kinks, The Animals and the Stones.Began learning how to play guitar from friends and records by High School, and learned songs by The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkle, and Bob Dylan. Started playing professionally by 1973 in Coffee Houses, Bars and Bistro's all over the country.After 25 plus years in what seemed like a blink of an eye, it became clear that Bar gigs weren't making it anymore. At age 40 something, he stopped the Bar scene and concentrated on Song Writing.He has written many songs alone and has collaborated with Poets Bob Nelson and Sharon Skinner and long time friends Kevin Mauch and Steve Sarabande. Along with keyboard player Mike Noel and bassist Kevin Mauch the Mulberry Music House Band was born.The Mulberry Music House Band wrote and recorded a great catalog of songs. Also hosted a twice a week one hour Internet Radio Show called "The Mulberry Music Hour". The show featured other Independent Singer/Songwriters and Bands from all over the United States and the United Kingdom.
