About Me
I am excited to introduce to the Washington Metropolitan area and globally, an alternative listening experience! DCSOUNDSTREAM Internet Radio is a 24 hour a day outlet for artists needing exposure not provided by the mainstream music industry. We will feature artists from many different musical genres. DCSOUNDSTREAM is based in the Washington, DC metro area. Our first programming will highlight artists from the Washington DC Metro area with a heavy mix of Funk, Progressive Jazz, Alternative/ Rock,Neo-Soul/R&B, Latin accents, Afro-Beat, Fusion, some old-skool fillers that I like, and music with no category. The music content focus will be on original songs. There will be an Independent artist vs mainstream Artist music selection ratio of 70/30. Please note that we have licenses with BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC for fees to songwriters, composers, and music publishers and a license with SoundExchange for fees to performers when music is played on DCOUNDSTREAM.
