Buddy Speir/ Guitar
Buddy graduated from Shenandoah University, Cum Laude, with a BA in Commercial Music. He has been performing up and down the east coast with a number of acts, the latest of which is the Fairfax based band Welbilt. He has taught numerous students over the past few years, specializing in intermediate and advanced guitar and music theory. All styles are welcome...
Luke Brindley / Guitar, Songwriting
Luke graduated from Rutgers University, Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, with a BA in Music specializing in guitar performance and composition. He studied for 4 yrs with Ken Wessel, guitarist in Ornette Coleman's Prime Time. He has toured internationally with various groups. He currently tours nationally with the Brindley Brothers. He's released three CDs, the latest, Playing With the Light was called "magical...near-perfect...an early contender for one of the best albums of 2004." by The Washington Post and one of the Top 12 Debut Records of 2004 by Paste Magazine.
Marc Caponi / Piano
Marc has been playing the piano for more than 25 years. He has also studied percussion with Air Force percussionist Randy Eyles and music composition with Dr. John Hilliard at James Madison University. He plays the keyboard in several DC-based bands and won a Wammy (Washington Area Music Award) for his 1994 solo CD.
Anthony Fiacco / Guitar
Anthony has been teaching for five years. He performs regularly on the East Coast and recently released his first EP. He specializes in rock and pop guitar styles.
Shane Hines / Guitar
Shane has been writing and performing professionally for nine years and has been teaching guitar for the last five years. He graduated from George Mason University with a BA in English Composition. In addition to teaching, Shane currently tours nationally as a solo acoustic artist and with his band Shane Hines and the Trance. Shane specializes in rock/pop and blues.
Rick Hodes / Drums, Percussion
Rick studied percussion performance at East Carolina University and studied for 8 years with Bill Messershmidt, Sec. Leader of the Army Band. He been playing drums for 20 years and teaching for the last 7 years.
Patrick Williams / Guitar, Bass
Patrick Williams is a guitarist and bassist with over 15 years of experience in performance and instruction. He began studying guitar and bass guitar at age 14 with Glen McCarthy, a world-traveled instrumentalist who launched the first high school guitar class in the United States. He studied music theory while playing double bass in the West Virgina University orchestra program. Apart from musical interests, Patrick enjoys spending time with his 7 year-old daughter Maya, and plays chess at amateur tournaments.
