It's amazing what you can do
with just one vote!
We invite you to add your picture to
the upcoming iamonevote campaign's
A m e r i c a n  V o t e r s  V i d e o Vote Yes!
How?
Well, just print out our free paper-sized poster , and hold it up.
Then smile, or give a sexy pout, or raise an eyebrow, or flash a peace sign, or pose the poster with your favorite pet, or whatever other creative composition you can think up -- this is America after all -- we are Can-Do folks!
So anyway, while you're holding up the free iamonevote print-out , have a friend snap a picture of your happy voting self, and then post your photo in our comments. We'll take it from there.
Is that it?
Yep.Except, ideally, it would be fantastically marvelous if you also placed your personalized i am one vote photos on your own page -- to restate the obvious (that you are one vote) -- so that all of your page visitors can contemplate that fact in regards to themselves.
NOTE: If you DON'T yet have a myspace account for uploading pictures, you can use one of the many other free internet photo uploading services like tinypic.com and then email us the handy link. The photo service will automatically make a link for your picture as you upload it.
Again, if you can't post your picture in our myspace comments, you can email your photo links to:
[email protected]
And we'll add them to the newer versions of this video:

Let us know when you've added an i am one vote image to your site (OR when you've put the iamonevote profile in your top friends) and we'll add your site to our very special iamonevote campaign friends space (and banner).
I Am One Vote!
Yes, you are one vote, too. As you well know.It goes way beyond just
voting on election day
In the broader sense, the i am one vote campaign is not just about electing your favorite candidate to some important office for one term or another. It's way more humble than that. And ironically, it's much more useful.
Because the iamonevote campaign is really about all of the little choices (votes) that we all make, every single day, and how these decisions can improve our lives (and the lives of those around us).
See, if you are given an authentically good reason to have genuine hope and realistic optimism, your candidate losing an election will not take any of that hope and optimism away from you.
It's a no lose proposition!
Even if your candidate loses this November, _you_ still win! Because now that you have your hope and optimism back, you're already way ahead of the game.Of course, winning the election would be even better yet, so that's why you should encourage others to vote.
But this is why you've
already hit the jackpot:
What you'll gain from the actual effort of campaigning (for instance: all of your hopeful peaceful realizations about the power of love, and honesty, and faith, and courage, and hard work, and having a good sense of humor, etc.) you can apply to all of your future experiences and endeavors. That's why it matters.
In that sense, it really does make a difference how you vote. Anyone who has ever woked on ANY project knows that. From painting a wall to fixing dinner. You can make bad choices just as well as good ones. Get paint all over the windows and next time you'll be using masking tape. Leave the water boiling too long and next round you'll set the timer. It's called "learning" from your mistakes. Some people do, some people don't. However, regardless of whether you do or don't learn this fact...
There IS a better way.
For instance, we don't HAVE to live in a world full of constant fear, and loathing, and paranoia, and excessive greed, and demoralizing dread, and pointless conflict, and fruitless fighting. Those are merely choices that we've been tricked into making by people who (unfortunately) lazily think that they have a lot to gain from such widespread wasteful misery.
But anyway, we DID start this i am one vote campaign with the 2008 presidential election in mind, in order to help make our (and your) votes count.
And count. And count. And count.
How can your vote count more, you ask?
Well, for starters, democracy-wise, we realized that our votes would count much more if we all became at least semi-actively involved in encouraging people to go beyond just casting a vote on election day. Even if that meant taking two tiny minutes out of our entire day to put up a few i am one vote signs here and there. We've decided to start suggesting to everyone possible that all of us can get much more mileage out of our one vote by simply encouraging others to vote, every single day -- maybe even engaging in a few friendly conversations with folks about the "issues" they care about -- hopefully gaining at least a minor understanding of each other's points of view (if and when opinions differ about one silly thing or another).
We're not publically endorsing any particular candidate.
We're endorsing ideas. We're promoting Freedom, Democracy, Truth, Faith, Peace, Love, Understanding, Creativity, Responsibility, Fun, Intelligence, Practicality, Reasonable Sanity, Art, etc..
No matter which candidate "wins" this election, we're striving in such a way so that we ourselves are becoming the change that we want to see in the world.
Of course, we also deeply hope that whomever does "win" the election will do an amazingly fantastic job instead of a majorly crappy one -- and we all certainly know who's done an amazingly crappy job in that regard, don't we?
Anyway, privately, we feel it's rather obvious who the much better candidates are, but we only have one vote each, just like you, so we'd rather that you come to your own conclusions based on which candidate you feel lives up to the ideas we're endorsing (ideas and qualities which we logically assume you value as much as we do).
That makes good sense, huh?
Your engaging in interesting conversations that will help you to come to better understandings with people (in an effort to somehow make things a wee bit better) is just one reason why you might want to consider participating in our humble i am one vote campaign. And if you do vote Yes to join in, you can start by placing one of our gently amusing banners up on your myspace page (and/or your other websites or blogs). It sure would be a fine start and definitely helps the campaign quite a bit.
Because one i am one vote banner leads to another.
And so on. And on and on and on...
It only takes about forty-five seconds to put up one iamonevote banner.
Yippee! You just copy and paste the HTML codes of your favorite i am one vote banners into your myspace profile, or your comments, bulletins, blogs, emails, etc..
In fact, feel free to use the i am one vote website in some (or all) of your signatures in your daily correspondences, love notes, check-writings, etc., like so:
Respectfully,
Mr. Amerigo Vespucci Smith

See? Like that. Only, you'd probably be better off using your actual name otherwise people might laugh at you (or maybe even have you dismissed from your employment situation -- which actually might not be such a bad thing, huh?).
Anyway, practical humor aside, here are a few of our currently available i am one vote banners (and there's way more to come!):

And votes to cast.
Our Appreciation!
Well, thanks in advance for considering the potential benefits of helping to preserve and promote Freedom and Democracy in America. AND thanks for at least reflecting ever so slightly about the remote prospect of somehow working just a wee tiny bit to maybe make something minimally better somewhere (instead of worse) in some utterly small but feasibly useful and worthwhile way.
Now, wait a minute, here! Are we actually suggesting that it's feasibly possible to make some minor improvements in our otherwise miserable whiny lives?
OK. We admit it.
Yes, we're optimists! There, are you happy now?
If the answer is yes, while you're at it, you might as well go ahead and put us in your top friends thinger. See how optimistic we really are? Well, anyway... whatever the case may be...
Have a fabulous day!
