Mango Road is a reggae/rock band from Las Vegas by way of Wailuku, HI, Ewa, HI, Los Angeles, CA, Haleiwa, HI, Aiea, HI, and Henderson, NV.
Mango Road formed in 2006 as a reggae/rock cover band and later began writing and performing their own songs.
The band's original lineup consisted of Jason "Kalani" Tanoue (vocals), Jason "Chief" Dayanan (Bass) and Pat "Fletch" Fletchetero (guitar).
Mango Road has seen lineup changes and additions over the last few years as a result of collaborating with various Las Vegas musicians including Fez (drums) of now defunct Highminded, Chris De Herrera (bass guitar) and Ben Cooper (drums) of Cultra Lounge, Cyncha D (keyboards) of The Cloth and Canvas House Band, Sean DeVincent (drums), Mike Anonuevo (keyboards) and I7 Homeboy Donald "Gush" Gushi (drums).
Mango Road is currently in the studio recording their self produced EP entitled "Still Green" which features the single "20 Grand" scheduled for Spring/Summer 2009 release date.
The band's members have played in various bands in Hawaii, California, and Nevada and plans of future national and international Mango Road tour dates are being scheduled.
Their name was inspired by a street located in the town of Ewa, Hawaii on the island of Oahu where members Gush, Chief and Fletch are originally from.
Mango Road is in essence, music in which to live by... Live Aloha, Live Irie.
