I was born March 20,43 BC, as Publius Ovidius Naso. Many know me as Ovid. I have wrote about many things in my life. I am known as the medieval magister amoris, or in english, the master of love. I am also known for my causal attitude towards affairs. My parents wanted me to orginally go into law, I did study with Aurelius Fuscus and Porcius Latro. I then practice law in Rome as a judge who tried some criminal cases and testamentary. Then I decide public life was not for me and became a poet, where I became rich and famous. I traveled in Asia Minor, and Sicily with the poet Macer. Then I decided to devote my life to my writings. Some of my work includes: AMORES, HEROIDES,MEDICAMINA FACIEI, and many more. Last but not least Metamophoses is considered to by my masterpiece. Saddly I was banished away from my home, Rome, at the age of 50, to Tomis on the boarders of the Black Sea. In my time it was not yet a wonderful place to be, it was a hard life, that I could only hint at the reasons in my poetic writings home. I was sad, heartbroken, and lonley because I had been sent away, I could not see my home, wife, family, and friends. SO, I began to hope for one day to be allowed back to Rome, but the word never came, so Tomis is where I died. Some are not sure why I was sent there, some say the reason was my caual attuitde toward sex and adultry, but I am the one who knows the truth and with me it will stay. I will only be alive through history of time and my writings.
