About Me

yo. my real name is matthew but everyone calls me mate[oh!]. with time my mind has opened up to things alittle more. i've decided that my life will be led by one simple rule: Love. with time i've learned that, this world is not my home. and that if we wanna see love, we have to breathe it. in all our lives, there will be people who give us crap. they'll judge you only by your outside apperance and not what really matters: Your Heart. i know that i'm never goin to be perfect, no one is. perhaps the ones who judge, hate, or discriminate are the ones who truly are the ones who need to take a step back and see themselves before they project negativity on others. there are only a few things in my life that itruely hold close to my heart. Jesus(my savior). My family. My friends. Art(whether it be drawing, painting, photography, or any other medium of creativity that someone calls "art"). and my life passion, Music. i'm a writer/songwriter. i Love words. the words that we speak truly show the essence of our souls. but my love is deepest especially towards song lyrics. i heard a beautiful quote once: "Music expresses that which cannot be said, and on which it is impossible to be silent." that, to me. is proof that music, poetry, and all things of art are pure. its from the soul. and that's why as writers, and song writers, we write. MuteMath has a song called Typical, with the lyrics: "And now I know, there's, got to be another level, somewhere, closer to the other side, and. i'm. feeling like it's now or never, can i break the spell...of the Typical?" and that's my hope for this life, that we all strive to "break the spell of the typical." beautiful. god bless.
