This one-woman band began with the fusion of a girl and her acoustic guitar. Brittany Bauhaus is a twenty-two year old full-time college student, professional procrastinator, and most of all, singer/songwriter. She stems from Catonsville (a.k.a. Music City), MD located just outside of the Charm City border. She's a down-to-earth, lover-of-life, fun, easygoing soul who thrives on trying new and different things.Brittany began performing publicly in local Maryland venues around September of 2004 and, since then, has acquired a substantial fan base. While spending the summer of 2005 in Los Angeles, CA, Brittany was requested to perform at some popular, high-profile venues including The Rainbow Bar & Grill located on Sunset Blvd.Brittany loves nothing more than to be in front of an audience. Once she sets foot on stage, she does nothing short of blowing listeners away with her naturally warm, deeply soothing, gentle vocals; often compared to artists such as Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Norah Jones, and Sheryl Crow. Brittanys guitar playing has been characterized as Tom Petty-styled because of its extreme fluidity. She has written countless songs during her young, still-blossoming career. On top of her unforgiving, insanely busy schedule, Brittany completed the recording of a fully-produced, four-song EP to appease her fans that continuously want more, more, more! Though, you won't hear any complaining coming from her lips because she loves and appreciates every second of the musical creativity process.The EP includes songs like California Sun, a contemplative life after death ballad, and Beauty, a song that tackles the issue of not-so-everlasting love. The more Brittany composes lyrics and applies them to sensuous melodies, the more she progresses and grows into her own skin. She feels at home both on stage and in the studio. Her dreams of becoming a professional recording artist are not far from view. She has sustained constant support from friends, family and people who might not know her name, but can recognize her awe-inspiring voice from afar. Brittany is extraordinarily focused and driven by her honest and pure love of music.
