Back to school, back to school, prove to dad that I'm not a fool

About Me

I'm currently serving as an Associate Pastor in North Georgia - a town called Armuchee (pronounced Ar-Mur-Chee), and yes, the place is as big as it sounds. I love it here, though. Basically being the Associate Pastor means I preach some and lead the Sunday School, discipleship, and children's ministry. I'm also a doctoral student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

So here's something interesting. I always thought of myself more as the Spiderman type. I'm also more than a little concerned about resembling female superheroes to a measurable extent.

My Interests

Faith, music, the 80's, pop culture, and way too much World of Warcraft.

I don't have any hobbies because I just bought a house and I'm too poor to do anything exciting. But if I did have some, they would include writing and hiking.

Music:

Chris Tomlin, Building 429, Matthew West, and anything acapella or choral that isn't hokey.

Movies:

The Breakfast Club, Rocky 1, 4, and Rocky Balboa, The American President, and pretty much anything where nameless people are involved in awesome explosions. Oh, and my current favorite, Transformers, the greatest movie of all time. Ever. Period.

Television:

Heroes, The Unit, all the CSIs, Scrubs, and The Office. Believe it or not, I've never watched an episode of 24.

Books:

The Bible, Wuthering Heights, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and the 37 other books I've started to read but never finished.

Heroes:

The Mighty Thor, Keith from Voltron, and John MacArthur. I'm pretty sure John MacArthur could beat the other two in a fair fight. But let's be honest - there's no such thing as a fair fight against John MacArthur.

Myspace, huh?

So I've had this myspace account for a while now, but I never really had any use for it (except to check the blogs of some of the nastier kids in the youth group at my church). I suppose I still don't...
