About Me

I live in central NH and enjoy many of the local mountains and lakes. I'm pretty low key and enjoy most of my free time hanging out with Bridget, playing video games, reading, and running. I'm fairly introverted with periods of spastic silliness that appear from time to time. I was a Biology and Philosophy major in college while being a full time student athlete. I don't use either major in my current work, but I still find the process of discovery fascinating. Yep, I'm a nerd, but we have more fun.

My Interests

Reading, hiking, running, philosophy, listening to music, economics, baseball, basketball, science, fantasy sports, video games, and history.Your results:

Music:

I mainly listen to rock, punk, and electronica. Mainly stuff from the late 70's through today. I grew up listening to Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, the Offspring, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, and Nirvana. I like a lot of the 80's new wave and some 70's punk. I'll even listen to the Beatles and Beach Boys occasionally.

I made this music player at MyFlashFetish .com.

Movies:

Some of my favorite movies are: The Life Aquatic, Lost in Translation, Fight Club, Kill Bill, Napolean Dynamite, I Am Legend, Dumb and Dumber, Sin City and of course American Movie.

Television:

I try not to watch that much network tv. Family guy is a must and sometimes the Simpsons. I try and catch most of the Celtics games. I can usually be caught watching something on either the History Channel, Science Channel, Discovery, Sci-Fi, or one of the news channels (ESPN, MSNBC, etc.).. width="425" height="350">.. ..>

Books:

I really liked reading all of Kurt Vonnegut's books, particularly Slaughterhouse 5. I haven't read much fiction lately. I loved reading "Moneyball" which described how sabermetrics have influenced decision making in baseball. "Guns, Germs, and Steel" and "Collapse" by Jared Dimond were both great books as well. I've also read a few books by Bernard Lewis that were good in explaining muslim rage with the western world. "Freakonomics" was an interesting read, but I found it lacking in some detail. I recently just finished "Crimes against Logic" which I'd have to say is a must read for anyone interested in looking at the logic in differing arguments.

Heroes:

The Kool Aid Guy "Oh Yeah!" and of course Pac Man...
