About Me

First off:I dig having intelligent conversations in which I learn something new. I like turning an issue over and over and getting to know it from all sides, not just the extreme front and back end. It's all about shaking hands with life and feeling all the different grips. I respect and admire people who are passionate about their ideas and beliefs. Strong opinions are great and inspire emotions, just as long as they don't cloud one's ability to recognize the possibility of alternatives. You see, I'm all about possibility. I love it, love it, love it. Believing anything is possible allows one to constantly be surprised, and who doesn't enjoy a surprise every once and awhile?I have a great sense of humor and enjoy others with the same. I believe laughing is the cure for most things, even if it just opens your eyes a little wider so you can find whatever it is you've been seeking.I'm an optimist and a realist, fun to be around and most of the time entertaining. I can talk way too much or way too little. Depends on the situation.I believe God's greatest invention was the human brain and greatest gift the human heart. Unfortunately I don't think we use either one to the best of our abilities, and I am working on that within myself.I'm the happiest when I'm: laughing, sitting in a dark movie theatre, walking through a crowded airport or on the streets of Manhattan, driving my car with no destination in mind, writing, spending time with my parents, revisiting the past with new perspective, hiking, camping, watching my cat bathe herself, going on adventures, hanging out with friends, learning random facts and histories on the internet, discovering new words and learning how to pronounce them CORRECTLY, traveling the open American roads in my 4-wheel drive, dreaming while I'm awake, and just marveling, really, about life.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Uh, this guy:In general, those that capture my attention. Specifically, I'd say 1) John Irving, because really, where does that man come up with some of his characters????? 2) Isaac Brock, and I am not really sure what good meeting him would do. He wrote the music and lyrics for this song that absolutely speaks to my spirit, mood, and heart and because of that I connect to whatever part of him strung it together. The thing is, things that rape that sort of beauty into a person aren't always that easy to find when you randomly meet them. They are sorta just better left felt I guess. 3)Anne Rice, mainly so I can thank her in person for creating a vampire world that seeped into my daily life and intertwined the two. Her vampires infected their way into my bloodstream and my agenda, and I've been forever altered. 4) Brad Ausmus (mainly because I'd like to stare at his ass, but it doesn't hurt that he's a fabulous catcher either).........
