There is a magazine that teaches about current glassblowing technique and announces glassblowing events called "The Flow" you're going to have to google it. I would like to meet glass enthusiasts. Definitely don't miss the show with 50 pipes in the same room worth a thousand dollars each this February 2009 at 2227 5th ave. 5th and Bell at a place called "Seattle glassblowing". People fly in from all over the country to bring and show their work. and there are pipemaking demonstrations all day and night. I am completely unaffiliated with them., but it is a really unique event ,4 years running. Bring your sun glasses, the flame is too bright to stare at while the glassblowing is going on(its like staring at a welder, or the sun). Some 0f the pipes at this show are worth 3 thousand dollars................................................ ..........................................................
