Also, the album will feature the studio version of Emptier. The live version will be available in the future.
Update 05/17/2009 I uploaded a song I wrote last month called Emptier. Even though I wrote it late, it will definitely be on the album. So what do YOU think it's about? I'm interested to hear your ideas.
Update 05/04/2009 I am in the process of re-uploading a bunch of songs so the stuff on here reflects what will actually be on the album. Expect to see them all plus a bunch you've never heard before on iTunes soon! I will also upload a brand new song, so stay tuned!
Update 12/28/2008 I have been busy writing songs this winter along with recording and mixing. Good thing I have Kara to take care of the rest of the stuff! What would I do without you Kara? I uploaded the final version of "Unspoken For". Hopefully the album will be finished within the season, and you can look forward to hearing it in CD quality! It is still tentatively titled, I may just call it "Untitled Song" so look out for it. Thanks again to all my fans that have been so supportive so far. Your encouraging and helpful words have been invaluable to me.
Update 11/22/2008 Well I've been adding and changing songs without updating here. All the songs up are close to their final album versions, and there are more coming. I'd also like to introduce Kara, the new manager! She and I will be working together to find band members, finish the album, and start booking shows. If Kara were here right now, she would say "hi".
Update 11/07/2008 I added new versions of two songs; Marry Row and Unspoken For. I re-did the drum tracks on both of them, and I think it makes all the difference. Enjoy!
Update 10/24/2008 "Someone to Turn to" has finally been uploaded! This song actually came to me in a dream. Enjoy!
I also added the new version of "Flashlight". It's technically the third version and it's awesome. I re-did some of the guitar and the drums.
Update 10/10/2008 I finished recording one of my favorite songs. You're going to love it, I know you will! Also, I've been reading and responding to your feedback and I'm coming out with the "second drafts" of some of my songs. I'll be uploading those intermittently; when I do I will post bulletins so that you can let me know what you think. I will upload the all the songs when myspace fixes the music player (they estimate about a week).
Update 9/18/2008 A crowd favorite "You're the One" has been uploaded and is available as a free download. It's a worship song and is (of course) about Jesus. Let me know if you'd like the chords so you can play it at church.
Update 9/10/2008 I uploaded one I wrote recently called Unspoken For. The title is tentative, I can't think of anything better to name it. The lyrics pretty much speak for themselves, you'll just have to fill in the blanks.
Also, the last mix of "Flashlight" was bugging me so I re-did it and uploaded it again. This newer version, although still not final, sounds much better.
Update 9/4/2008 I just uploaded a song I wrote about a month ago. This Girl (Sweetly Broken) is about love if you play it over and over.
Update 9/1/2008 I just uploaded a new song; Flashlight. I think a flashlight is a great analogy of being a "light of the world" in dark places and this past summer I've had the unfortunate experience of meeting a lot of "righteous" people where they seem more like a group of friends than a body. If you're not their type, then them "loving" you is like trying to break the ice by shining a flashlight at it. Lets be real, nobody is perfect. Thats what my music is about.
Update 8/22/2008 I just got some new equipment and I'm in the process of vamping up the studio for some better quality recordings. I should have another song recorded and posted soon.
Update 8/21/2008 I finished recording Marry Row. I love this song.
Update 8/17/2008 I posted my first song: Marry Row. This is not the final version, I plan on speeding it up, using a different guitar, making my own bass line, and adding more filler before the bridge (maybe a solo?). Its probably one of the most honest songs I've written about our marry walk through life. I just wanted to get it out there and see what you thought of it.
