Peace & Blessings from Triii C aka The Trilogy , 3 times the funk, flavor, and madness… Meet Ancient, Wisdom, & Streetwise... 3 entities combined to spring forth one dynamic sista. I appreciate everyone dropping by my page and pray you an enlightening as well as entertaining experience.
Q – Describe your music. When the world listens, what will they hear?A – A tyte mix of old school & new school Hip Hop that merges other genres of music and gives Triii C a unique, but timely sound. There are three entities to Triii C, aka the Trilogy... Wisdom, Ancient, and Streetwise. This CD presents a lil' something from each.
Q – How do you describe yourself?
A – A representative of hoods across America; a sho 'nuff product thereof on an intelligent, culturally grounded, spiritually in-tuned level. I do me. Period. I don’t stress what others say is cool to say, do, or wear at any particular time, or even what this “industry†claims is popular. If the labels knew it all their artists would be going multi platinum if not diamond. Most don’t even go gold. Go figure. I trust the world to speak for themselves, so I’ll do what I do and wait to hear what they say. If my ears have been thirsting to hear an artist such as myself, others ears have been hungering as well. For them, I am manna. Let 'em eat!
Q – What are your goals for the Hip Hop game?
A – To bring a breath of fresh air back to Hip Hop from a female perspective. My style isn’t for everybody. I knew that coming in. But, I’m presenting a flava that I’d want to hear, so I figure there are others who’d like to hear it too. Could be millions, could be a few thousand. But, until I put it out there, I won’t know. So, I'll do me for those who feel what I do.
Who I’d Like To Meet…
Serious artists who're determined to make an impact in the music industry both financially and artistically. I'm particularly interested in collabing with singers, male and female, with strong voices as well as emcees who can do justice to a hott beat. I'm working on a CD project that's scheduled to drop by the end of the year, so there's a lot of opportunities for fellow artists to showcase their talent. But, please believe, I'm not trying to "pay" anybody to spit, nor sing on my tracks, and I don't need beats. I do them myself. So, if that's your thing, keep it moving. Nothing personal, but I'm looking for peeps who're ready to build together... from the ground up so to speak.
I'm also a hellafied writer of R&B & Pop, songs. I've written a few that I'd like to present to the majors and showcase in other venues, but I need qualified singers to ensure that professional touch. This is an outstanding opportunity to be heard and, possibly picked up by a major label. So, I encourage any singer who's serious about their career to get at me so we can make this happen. Check my blog for details.
I’d love to meet Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, 50 Cents, MeShell N’Degeocello, Alanis Morrisette, Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, Vivica Fox, and, God willing, Patti Labelle and Oprah Winfrey ‘cuz these are all great talents who I know could pass on both career and life enhancing advice.
I’d love to meet Lisa Leslie, Tina Thompson, and of course, my girl Candace Parker. And… most definitely, Lebron James. I’d like to play him one on one using my rules. And, since my rules is I can’t get dunked on, you can’t block my shot, and only I can win, I’m bound to earn bragging rights. *L* I’d love to meet Michael Jordan! He set the bar for me, and for other ball players and sportsmen who followed, to strive to be great no matter the opposition. I’d also love to meet Dr. Jay, and Bernie Casey, but that has nothing to do with sports, nor good advice. *LOL* Avery Brooks is one of my heroes. A strong, talented and dedicated, Black man. I’d be ecstatic to meet him.
