Cassandra Celestin makes sure to infuse you with the realism of love. The 21 year old songstress was born singing and actually wrote her very first song at the age of 7. From then, she prematurely cultivated and crafted her writing skills to become the extraordinarily gifted songwriter she is today. Born and raised in Boston, MA as a young Haitian-American, she grew up listening to the music genre known as Kompa. However, she mainly was influenced from Rap and R&B. From there, she began to venture into a different brand of sound from the average artist. "I soak up everything that's inspirational. I listen to Amel Larrieux, No Doubt, Mariah Carey, Nina Simone, Jill Scott, Jay-Z, Common, Keyshia Cole... The list goes on & on. I think what really makes me different from all artists is the fact that I am such a fan. I am an absolute fanatic of so many people, yet I'm also a musician. So, I guess thats a benefit-- me being able to tap into the mindset of the fan and what they desire and then tap into the art of music in itself." Go head girl. With such eclectic influences, Cassandra Celestin is sure to make major waves in the world of music in the near future as well as bring intelligent femininity in the area of composing, production, and arrangement.
