About Me

Begun in 1994 by producer/ engineer Colby Devereux in Oxford, Mississippi, the Supernatural released it’s first record in 1998, the self produced "Butterfly." the Supernatural brings to mind the great psychedelic sounds of the 60’s and early 70’s, but adds it’s own spin by combining the sound with what is great about the present indie movement. But don’t think that this music is mellow, quite the contrary, it’s could go anywhere. Working with Tom Queyja and Andrew Ratcliffe on the 2003 release, "in the Corner", brought new room for growth and involved the best musicians in Oxford allowing Devereux to flesh out fairly elaborate arrangements in the vein of Phil Spector and Jeff Lynne. The next album, "a day ahead of you", was released in 2005 and Devereux’s production and songwriting style continued to evolve and included the vocals of Lynn Dickson on Boogie Little Girl. Devereux has since relocated to New York City and is working on a new album "still lookin good" as well as many outside production jobs. "Things to Do" is the first release recorded entirely in NYC at the new studio Devereux co-habitates, Blue Ribbon Sound.
