Krusader was formed in the summer of 2005 by Taylor Hellowell and Evan Mason with Taylor on Guitar and Evan on drums in Ojai CA. Taylor and Evan had been friends for a while before the band. they started out with just them jammimg at a friends for fun. Taylor ditched school at lunch everyday to practice.they began to write some songs and decided that they actually wanted to become a band.for the first 4 months Taylor and Evan where the only two people in the band. They decided that they where going to need a lead guitarist and bassist so they began to look around. around Febuary 2006, Hank Jackson on lead guitar and Bryan Whiten on bass, joined the band. Hank was found by August Housemen telling them that he should be in the band. Evan asked him if he wanted to and he joined the band with no audition or anything the next week. They just found Bryan.
This was when Krusader really began to become a band. They began practicing almost evey day. They soon began to start getting shows. The first few shows where canceled due to the stupid idiots at the alpine but finally the first show was got at Zoe's Cafe in Ventura CA. Soon after that, they recorded their first demo with Dave Grosbe at Oak Grove School. They began to play many more shows. Bryan stopped practicing so they kicked him out. the band had already found a new bass player (J.T. erickson) who sadly at the time was in the band Guilty Of More but quit at the offer to be in Krusader. After J.T joined Krusader soon made a new demo called Unleash The Beast EP. Now they are playing alot of shows and its cool.
