About Me

You are now marked on my profile visitor map!

As for me, I'm just your typical geek-turned-international-jetsetter story. Born in the bustling metropolis of the Greater Phoenix area, I grew up in cookie cutter conservative white suburbia. Somehow I knew I didn't quite fit in right, but it took moving 5500 miles from home to figure it out. As fate would have it, I was asked to move to Amsterdam for part of a work assignment. Naturally, I leapt at the chance and I have been ejoying the Dutch culture ever since!Check out my Flickr photostream or my blogs on Vox and my old skool LiveJournal

Other international jetset socialites like me! Or alternatively how about some cute, 420 friendly women, who would enjoy living in Amsterdam?

Music:

I am all over the board when it comes to music as well. I am a big believer in the right song at the right time. Some of the artists on the soundtrack of my life are Lamb, Morphine, James Brown, Blue Foundation, They Might Be Giants, Hepcat, Radiohead, Bob Marley, Esquivel, Portishead, The Smiths, Björk, DJ Shadow, The English Beat, Massive Attack, and my friend "The MASH Up King of New York" DJ RESET.

Movies:

Favorite movies include Quentin Tarantino's films, The Shawshank Redemption, Caddyshack, Waking Life, The City of Lost Children, Dancer in the Dark, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Dead Man Walking, The Big Lebowski, The Goonies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Princess Bride, What the (bleep) Do We Know?, V For Vendetta, after all how could you not love a quote like this:
"Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V." Now that is what I call an introduction!

Television:

I really don't watch too much television and when I do, it is always a year or more behind and on DVDs. I dig series like Heroes, Lost, 24, Taken, Arrested Development, and The Family Guy. You can't go wrong with old Simpsons and Seinfeld reruns, and I do have to admit a guilty pleasure in some reality TV shows like American Chopper .

Books:

Having worked in a bookstore, it is so hard to pick a favorite book. Picking favorite authors is a bit easier, but still no walk in the park. I am a fan of George Orwell, Tom Robbins, Guy de Maupassant, JRR Tolkien, Franz Kafka, William Gibson, Hunter S. Thompson, A.A. Attanasio & Jack Keroauc, Kurt Vonnegut

Heroes:

Peter Petrelli! "Save the cheerleader, save the world." Hunter S. Thompson R.I.P.,
