About Me

Jestereign- the name began while brainstorming for a band name back in 1993, when I was playing in college while studying architecture. There were 5 of us in the band without a name- I came up with various names including "Jestereign"- it was voting down, and then we became "tomorrow's eve". I wanted to see this name out there in some form, so I wrote a song with the name, and began calling my own solo material by the same.Prior to "tomorrow's eve", I played with "Placidecorum", which had members come and go- however, Tom Jones, Alicia Mosca and myself formed the more electric version called tomorrow's eve with David Makowka on bass and John Lalli on drums. Tom had moved to Florida, Bill Olik came in, after many shows & some recording Bill had left, and then Jake Williams stepped in. The band split up after many, many years of performing and many songs written.During the few years of Placidecorum, I had purchased my acoustic guitar to write material, and then began performing at various coffeehouses, cafes, bookstores, etc. I am now currently working on my first full release and hope to have it completed by year's end. Past releases include a limited EP cassette called "Dethroning the Kingdom" and a limited release of demoes called "Watershed Moments".My rendition of "before you were born / reincarnation song" found its way onto the first "toad the wet sprocket" fan tribute collection called LILYPAD Vol. 1. Also on that same collection, toad's "pray your gods" which was captured live as performed by Placidecorum, was also featured on this collection. A few years later on LILYPAD Vol. 2, toad's "amnesia" was featured along with the tomorrow's eve original song, "Should've Risen Without". Just last year, Shelflife's rendition of Glen Phillips' song "The Hole" was featured on "Recoiled", the first Glen Phillips fan tribute cd, along with Shelflife's original song titled "without a trace"."Shelflife", the band, includes Lonnie Lafoon on drums and vocals, Eric Lordi on bass, keyboards and vocals and myself on guitars and vocals. "Shelflife" is also currently in the studio working on a sophomore release- its debut release called "Splice the Mainbrace" is still available.Go to www.myspace.com/shelflifetheband for more information and free songs.
