Im Derek Dremel! I am deeply concerned with the relationships i have with individuals. I am, in fact, sometimes mistaken for an extrovert because i am so outgoing and am so genuinely interested in people--a product of my compassionate nature. However, i definatly need plenty of my own down time. I have a unique perspective produced by my alternation between detachement and involvment in the lives of the people close to me, and this sometimes gives me the clearest insidghts into the motivations of others. Becuase of this i am very perceptive and accutately suspicoius and can rarely be fooled. though i am friendly and sympathetic to everyone, i am extremely selective of my friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that cant be described by mere words. Usually self-expression comes easily to me on paper as i have strong writing skills. I am confident with the swagger i rock and the personal charisma i possess. I value my integrity a great deal, and i have intricately woven, mysterious personality traits which sometimes puzzle even me. I have a strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others and genuinely enjoy helping my companions. Those who know me well know that i am not reluctant to express my feelings. My face will light up with the positive emotions but darken with the negative. I have a strong ability to take into myself the feelings of others, i can be hurt rather easily by those around me, which, perhaps, is one reason why i tend to be a private person at times. I have a great depth of personality, i myself am complicated and can understand and deal with the complex issues and people. Im obviously nothing close to perfect and i try hard to accept critism with dignity. Im very outgoin once you get to know me. Im somemwhat athletic but very competitive when it comes to sports. Playin basketball has always been a passion of mine. Right now im starting in the jackson city league on a team called redirected. I also like football, boxing, volleyball and basically any game that i can talk some friendly trash. When im not playin or training for sports im usually with my boys/girls tryin to stay out of trouble. Ive learned how to stay entertained so im rarely uptight. Being cheesy is often times necessary to make someones day so dont be surprised if i do something like that. I dont like losing relationships so it seems that any two days off of work that i get im takin a small road trip to tahoe, oakhurst, fresno, redding, monterey or my home town of jackson tryin to keep in touch. ITs what i enjoy doin. Im now a full time student at folsom lake college working to become an english/PE/bible teacher. Im also holding down a part time job as a sales associate at Big 5. o ya and it was also pointed out to me that i start converstations with strangers.. just like they taught me not to do in grade school. whats next.. running with scissors? Anyways, I can meet people on many levels no matter how typical or deep they are im always down for exchanging opinions on any subject so long as no one is condisending to anyone else. I like fun people, laughing for extending periods of time, riding with the top down, conversations that end only when your just too tired to respond, napping, snowboarding, making others feel good and most recently skydiving. My dislikes are being lied to, mean folks, standing in line, animal cruelty, not being understood, narrowminded views, being ignored, sitting on the end and when the defenseless are victomized. I think i have written enough. im out.
