Indecka - The Artiste
Indecka was born Chevol Grant to parents Marjorie McFarlane and Desmond Grant in central Kingston were he spent his earlier years. He then moved to Manchester for a few years then to St. Catherine where he now resides in the community of Greater Portmore.
While living in Manchester, Indecka was singing at church concerts and community functions. In St Catherine while attending high school, he found a love for poetry and started writing. A few years later he began putting melodies to some of his poems and was entertaining his friends.
Shortly after leaving high school, he got a job at a gas station in Breaton as a Pump Attendant; it was there that he met Frisco Kid and they became friends. Indecka got more interested in music and, along with some of his friends, started performing at parties, dances and mini stage shows in Portmore.
In the year 2002 he met Michael “JAH MIKES†Bell, the Producer from Yahbell Entertainment, and there he recorded his first song titled “Always be thereâ€. From there he moved on to do further recordings with Bloozick Records & Lazer Base Productions to name a few. Inspired by the Most High King Selassie and the natural essence of life, Indecka has matured both as an individual and a musician and has a very bright musical career.
Currently Indecka is working with I grade Muzick. With confidence determination and his unique style, Indecka is definitely one for the future and will take the world by storm with his music.
