Synfest is one of the - if not THE - biggest showcase of Arkansas' top local talent. This is its third year running, and the people who come out and party grow ever larger each time.
The first Synfest was at Fatback's in North Little Rock in Augst of 2006. It featured ten bands:
DVNT, Dirtyfinger, Mourning View, A Plea For Mercy, Exsus, Sychosys, Monoxide Project, Thirteen X, Wishtribe, and Drop Dead Syndicate. The show started at 2:30pm and went until after midnight. Everyone who came had a blast.
The second Synfest was held at Downtown music November 19th, 2007. It featured the bands:
Dirtyfinger, WishTribe, Sychosys, Monoxide Project, and Drop Dead Syndicate. Mourning View had been on the bill, but cancelled. Again, Synfest experienced rave reviews from fans. Downtown Music said it was the biggest bar night they'd had to date since opening. And there was a write up on it at Fuell To The Fire. You can read the review by clicking here .
The third Synfest will be bigger, badder, and better. The official line up hasn't been revealed, but it will feature Drop Dead Syndicate, Sychosys, Borderline Blasphemy, Bloodletting Device, and many more awesome bands. It will span two nights, instead of just one: October 10th and 11th. It will only cost $7 to attend one night, but you can purchase, on the opening night, for $12 entrance for both nights (which is basically $6 per night). There will be ten bands, contests, prizes, and a TON of fun.
