At Heritage Christian Center, we are pleased to welcome you. 

Whether you are attending a service for the first time, an event or special, we're delighted to have you as our guest.  Heritage Christian Center is one of the most ethnically diverse gathering of Christians found anywhere in America.  The scriptures say in Act 17:26 that God made "From one man every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth..."

Dennis Leonard and Heritage Christian Center are reaching a hurting world with the love of Jesus Christ. Our church sees racial barriers come down everyday as we cross denominational lines. Heritage is a melting pot where all colors and races come to praise and worship together, and seek the will of God.

Pastor Leonard's goals are simply to love people, to win souls for Jesus Christ, to see people set free, and to encourage this body of Christ to be a missionary outreach throughout our world.

After teaching a Bible study for a singles group from 1982-1984, the Lord led Bishop Leonard to start a church in Denver, Colorado. He started in the basement of his home with a few relatives and friends. Within six weeks, the small congregation moved to a local hotel and held services on Sunday mornings for approximately six months. Our growing needs dictated that a shopping center space be leased in Denver, and the church remained at that location for three years.

Our continued growth was phenomenal, and soon after, fives acres of land were purchased. With an eye to the future, Heritage Christian Center moved to its new location in 1988, with a sanctuary that seated 1,200 people.

Our church was then in a building program for three years (1988 – 1991). Our size required that Heritage hold three Sunday morning services and two mid-week services in order to accommodate our ever-growing congregation.

Groundbreaking for our current sanctuary took place in 1992, and this facility, which seats 3,500, was completed in 1993. Heritage Christian Center is located on 35 acres and has a facility of more than 100,000 square feet. Glory Be to God!
