Forever
In a wolf pack they ran together, blessed by the Great Spirit.Their souls locked and mated forever
Loyal hearts that none could sever.None bothered and no trouble to see
as they ran wild on the wind, free....Soul mates together for many a year, their loyal hearts knew no fear.How could their brave spirits know
one day an emeny would show...
without fear or even much skill
and her soul mate, man would kill.It was by the bright of day
as their brave hearts tried to run away....
running fast, but their bodies tired
her mate was killed with one shot fired.With only her around
his lifeless body lay on the ground....
only his soft fur moved as the lonely wind blew
by heart and instinct,
yes, she knew....
But she could not linger nor stay
for her own life, she must run away.So with a pause and one look back
she ran on the wind.....
rejoined her pack.Now she stands alone each night
and howls up to the moons misty light.The soulful sound of her cries
lingers on the wind, then softly dies.Pain cuts through her soul like a knife
for the mate she had taken for life
Her spirit broken...
but she'll survive....
the Great Spirit will keep her alive.She runs with the pack
but forever and always she still looks back
for a second she pauses..
and waits
always searching for her lost soul mate..

My name is S'uk'a, and I am a WD. I am 3 yrs. old and this is my story(well so far at least)
It begin in South Carolina, very far from where I live now.
All I know for a long time I lived in a very small cage with a cold cement floor and a fence around this very small pen. My mom and dad where killed by the people who had me. I was next. I really don't understand what happened next, so I will tell you like it was told to me.
There's this place called My-space, and I guess people there who love Wolf-dogs re-post to try and save us.
The next thing I know is that I was to die within a matter of hours. I did not understand why, I did not do anything.
Then like angels, these people came and saved me, boy was I glad and scared because I did not know what was happening. I went on this really long car ride(and loved it)I went to Night Song Wolf refuge with Catherine,(what a nice lady) hung out with her for a week, then went on another really long car ride(still scared but loved it).
There I was at a Wolf Sanctuary called Wolf creek Habitat.
Everyone was howling(Loud). There I waited over night. The next day, my new mommy came, I liked her very much. I went for one more really long car ride to my new home.
See, I was very thin and someone said something about a worm in my heart. And I really don't remember, but, one of my eyes were injured and now I can not see out of it. But all is good now.
My new mommy and daddy had other kids, 4-dogs (all sisters) and two little toys, they call them cats.
I now weight 15lb more than I did when I arrived. And I love this thing they call a couch(it's like a cloud)and the bed. My new sisters all love me and I finally have a pack:) And that worm is gone now.
If you don't believe in miracles you should, because that is what I am. I'm a miracle. And that place I said called myspace, the re-posters there are the angels who saved me.
Thank you everyone who helped me get to where I am know.
I am coming into my own now. I howl no barking (for wimps),
And love to play right before my family goes to bed.
