The Accelerators

About Me

The Accelerators formed in the mid 1990s performing our unique brand of 1950s inspired Rock n Roll music.
Having cut our teeth in the pubs and clubs of the East coast of Scotland, we were soon catching the ears of music lovers on the cool UK Rockin scene. This lead to several gigs at some pretty nifty venues around the country, which brought us inevitably into the recording studio to cut three albums for the legendary Raucous Records.
It wasn't long before we found ourselves headlining major clubs and festivals up and down the country, such as the Jiving Jamboree in London and the Nifty Fifties in Manchester, followed by two successive invitations to play the Americana Festival in Newark.
Never letting success get to us, The Accelerators are still happy to play in the original venues that served us so well in the early days, so don't be surprised if you see us down your local this saturday.
