About Me

Korvorão is a fictional character (half-raven, half shark) created in 1993 by writer and contemporary artist Ithaka Darin Pappas for a multi-media sculpture exhibit he presented in Lisbon, Portugal called "As Aventuras Do Korvorão" (or...The Adventures Of The Ravenshark). However in 1994, Korvorão came to life in a way his creator never imagined possible, he made his first (and only) vocal recording in participation with the project Underground Sound Of Lisbon (U.S.L). He recorded one of his own poems called "The End Of The Earth Is Upon Us", which hauntingly floated on top of a house instrumental produced by Dj Vibe & Rui da Silva, together resulting in an unusual and powerful new track called "So Get Up". The song (originally released by the Portuguese dance label called Kaos), charted number 8 on the Billboard UK Dance Charts in 1994 and would eventually go on to be considered a true classic among modern dance music. Today, literally hundreds of versions of the song exist, including remixes by Danny Tenaglia, Junior Vasquez, Fat Boy Slim and many more big talents. In recent years Korvorao (using the name Ithaka) has recorded a few other dance-oriented tracks; "You" (Dj Vibe featuring Ithaka) and "Mini Animal" & "Fuse With Me" (an e.p collaboration with the Lisbon-based project Cartell 70).
