Blow Media is one of the hottest labels to hit the music scene. The Canadian based label offers unique cutting edged sounds, pushing artists such as Hatiras, Macca, DJ Dan, Da Skunk and others. As main man Hatiras says, If people like it, then great. If not, well then they can 'blow me'. Its real modern indie punk for the clubbers... Blow Media was formed by Hatiras and Peter Weingarden in 2003, at a time when the record industry hit rock bottom. Their whole philosophy was that they would do things differently and run things like a boutique label. Blow makes all decisions from the music released, mastering, marketing, manufacturing and distribution in order to ensure that things are done right. Currently home to over a dozen artists, over 20 singles, half a dozen compilations and distributed worldwide, Blow's music and artists are impacting the future of electronic music. The music has to have that magic, be top quality and be well produced. At the moment a lot of our music is on the peak-hour funky-electro-house flavored tip. However, we aren't following an agenda or any rules - if it's good music it belongs on Blow Media. As a result of their consistent successful releases, Blow artists have toured Japan, Serbia, Poland, Canada, Colombia and the USA promoting the label. The label has featured remixes from some of the top masters in house music including Robbie Rivera, DJ DLG, and Antoine Clamaran among others. This is not because of their fat budget but because of the mutual respect the label has generated between themselves and other artists. Above all, Blow is not about the hype, instead, they aim to consistently release quality music from a grass-roots level. My goal with Blow Media is to release the highest possible quality of music tailored for the modern DJ and clubber, said Hatiras. Current hot projects include Hatiras' - Electronic Luv 3 compilation, plus gorgeous single "Love For The Weekend", by Hatiras and DJ Dan featuring Mandy J. Before Peter partnered with Hatiras to form and operate a promotion venture called Liquid Adrenaline (1993 - 2001). Liquid Adrenaline was one of North America's largest rave organisers through the '90s - over 40 events were held in a variety of venues including concert venues, warehouses, boats, hotels, arenas and airplane hangars etc. The average attendance at these events was 5,000 people with several events drawing 10,000. Liquid Adrenaline events were held in cities as widespread as Toronto, Minneapolis, Miami and Duluth.
