I am the experimental artist, AYW, and electronic
music making has been a new fun hobby if I could find time in between studying and
work. I do want to make a full album someday, but I don't imagine myself as becoming
a professional. I actually want to be a pediatrician :).
I use a music program called Fruity Loops 8 while shadowing a fellow artist,
Mobyus (my roommate atm), who has been making music for 7 years. I am very
new with this program since I only know how to use about 10% of the stuff in
there. I was really doubtful that I would create anything knowing so little. But
after an intense amount of trial and error, I made my first song, "Dream Clouds". After that I got really into this program which otherwise I'll probably end up playing one of those MMORPGs instead..
AYW stands for "All You Wanted" which is an old song by Michelle Branch that I
really like since long ago. Did you know she was only 14 years old when
she first played the guitar but released a professional album only 3 years
later? It shows you that you don't need to have insane skills to make great
music :).
