I am here for Friends

About Me

I am many things yet these things vary depending on the day, the weather, my surroundings, and too many other factors to include here. I can be the most outgoing person you've ever met one minute and a social recluse the next. I am married to a really cool guy. If you’re even semi-interested in our ordinary lives, you should check out my blog – maybe even subscribe to it. Word on the street is that it’s somewhat humorous and insightful. I don’t really like Dayton…more because of its geographic location than anything else. Well, and the fact that body doesn’t like Dayton. It rejects the Dayton air like a transplant recipient often rejects an organ. After 30 years, I finally feel like the pieces of my life are falling into place. Sean & I recently made a 2-year plan and I feel like I can relax a little now. We've decided to try to stay in our tiny house for two more years. By then we’ll have quite a bit paid off and hopefully that will have given the housing market some time to rebound. And in the meantime, we've made a list of things we're going to do.

My Interests

Planning healthy meals for Sean to cook, Sudoku, finding new music, 1154 Lill Studio, reading, and blogging. I love my Nike+. It has been unbelievably motivating for me. So much so that when my first sensor died after barely four months of use, I didn’t even consider not buying a second one. And I’m glad I did because this is the longest I’ve consistently run – or even exercised for that matter, in my entire life. Granted, it’s mostly because I’ve come to realization that I HAVE to exercise and eat right unless I want to be fat for the rest of my life. And my Nike+ has made my exercise commitment so much easier by keeping me motivated.

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people who aren't afraid to be honest and genuine. I'm always looking for a good book and some even better music - anyone who has suggestions for either is ok in my book. I want to meet motivating, inspiring, positive, professionally-minded, and goal oriented people!

Music:

DMB, John Mayer, Rogue Wave, Band of Horses, Nickel Creek, Sister Hazel, My Chemical Romance, Brandi Carlile, The New Pornographers, Foo Fighters, Coldplay

Television:

Lost, Chuck, Biggest Loser, NCIS, CSI, Veronica Mars (RIP), reruns of Friends and X-Files

Books:

Seductive Poison, a survivor's story of life at Jonestown - I could NOT put it down. I love the classics - Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, The Hunchback of Notre Dame - there are too many to name. Philip Pullman's trilogy His Dark Matter.

My favorite obssession
