Jessie Key

About Me

Jessie Key was born in Shreveport, LA, just down the road from the famous KWKH Louisiana Hayride that brought fame to acts such as Elvis Presley and Hank Williams. Fitting that, just 14 years later, Jessie would also perform on that stage to a sold-out audience and many more listening on the live radio broadcast. When Jessie was 2, her family relocated to Garland, TX and soon, she was a regular on every Opry in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and sang at every fair and festival she could get booked at. In 1997, she moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University and while at Belmont, she sang demos and played venues like Guido's, Springwater and The Bluebird Cafe. After graduation, she moved to Austin, TX and recorded her well-received album "Satisfied" in 2002. The title track "Satisfied" reached ..10 on the Progressive Country Chart and ..12 on the Roots Country Chart and was played on radio stations in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, California, New Mexico and Montana as well as many satellite radio stations. She became a member of the house band at the Cotton Club and Steakhouse and opened for Terri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines (Natalie's father) at the Texas Troubadour Theater in Waxahatchie, TX. In 2003, Jessie moved back to Nashville and cut her second album "Jessie Key" which features songs like "Paradise" and "All in White", which she has performed at clubs such as Dan McGuiness, Caffiene, Douglas Corner, The Bluebird Cafe, French Quarter Cafe and 3rd and Lindsley.
