Dub Catcher

About Me

Dub Catcher started as a magazine on the streets of New York City in the early 90's. The goal was to promote dub music to the world. Initially a one man army headed by Paul "Hoagie" Holgerson, Dub Catcher would go on to bring an arsenal of talented writers, designers, photographers and artists into the mix. The magazine was supported by Chris Blackwell of Island Records fame and shared a space inside their downtown office. Two of the main writers were Steve Barrow of Blood & Fire Records in London and Skiz Fernando of Wordsound Recordings in Brooklyn. The magazine was designed by award-winning graphic artist Paul Geczik, featured photographs by world renowned photographer David Corio and digital artist Jeremy Dawson. Since then, the concept has branched out into the realm of multimedia and marketing with the same mission held in tact: pushing dub music to the masses. The era of digital media has opened up a new world of possibilities.
