The Legs Malone Show takes place on the first Monday of every month at Public Assembly (formerly Galapagos) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Producer and host Legs Malone will bring to the stage a beautifully distilled mix of burlesque, sideshow, and variety acts in a salon-style format mixing humor, beauty and classic entertainment.
A born and bred New Yorker, Legs Malone is known as the Girl With The Thirty-Four and a Half Inch Inseam. A born and bred New Yorker (Upper East Side in the house but mind the wainscoting...), Legs got her start in London in 2006 and hasn't looked back since. In addition to being Host and Producer of The Legs Malone Show, Legs is also a proud partner-in-crime of Sugar Shack Burlesque in NYC. With a BA and MA in Art History and Contemporary Art, Legs has a totally idealistic vision of what the Show will be about and she looks forward to seeing what emerges out of this primal, metrocard-toting soup of performers rich in spirit and creativity and their various combinations every month.
Public Assembly is a brand new venue in a familiar location, picking up where the much loved Galapagos Art Space left off. For all of you hot-to-trot types, here's a quote straight from the long-legged Sagittarian's mouth: “I am thrilled to bring all of my favorite performers to The Public Assembly stage - there's something to be said about having total creative freedom and a little black book full of ideas."
The Legs Malone Show is the first Monday of every month starting Sept 1st (except for December's 12/8 show) at Public Assembly (70 N.6th St, Williamsburg). Showtime is 10pm, cover is $10.
