I am Derek Mohamedally, the lead singer of the Mod/Prog-Metal band Amygdala. Music is my life and singing is my passion. I am finishing up a double major at UFM. I love to write lyrics and poems, I'm always constantly and spuratically writing. I've got more material than I'll ever use. My band is in the studio this summer, so I'll let you know what comes of that. I wouldn't trade my band for any other, I've learned so much from them, they are extremely talented, and they are like family to me, and we playing out, even though the recording isn't done. Beckie Blosser is the love of my life, we've been together now for over three years. She's very talented and very intelligent. She is a beautitiful singer, she plays two instruments, her life time gpa is a 4 point. She is amazing, alot of fun, and pretty much perfect. I know this is alot of mush for a metal singers profile, but I firmly believe in showing the people you care about, just how much they mean to you any time you can. It's a fucked up world out there and it's a long rough ride on your own. My friends are the biggest and most notorious part of my life, I've always been blessed with so many of you (the real ones, people, not the myspace version), but you are all incredibly different and individually important to me, I love you all; even if I haven't been able to stay in touch, I'm still there for ya guys. My parents are the hardest working, toughest people I know. I have nothing but admiration and respect for them. To my brother I love you and hope we will get to know each other some day, I'm sorry we grew up.
