About Me

StarStruck Productions is a production group which features two members by the names of Calvin Wilson and Thomas Hailey. The up and coming production duo specialize in a vast array of styles ranging deriving from their eclectic musical backgrounds.
Calvin is a 21 yr. old African-American who grew up listening to underground hip-hop and rap with his older brother and cousins. His brother, who also produces, had great influence on him becoming a music producer. As Calvin got he became more interested in other genres of music such as pop, rock, classical, and other origins of music around the world.
Thomas is also 21 and is of Caucasian and Filipino descent. He lived with a father who was a war veteran and had a small collection of alternative music. As Thomas grew older he would become more interested hip-hop, pop and rock music. Even now he continues increase his interest for other genres and styles of music as it is shown in his style of production.
The StarStruck group is about creating new and high quality music for the next-generation. They continue to try new ways of making music and push the boundaries of the mainstream sound of hip-hop, pop and r&b.

Influences: We listen to artists such as Jay-Z, Coldplay,T.I., Daft Punk, System of a Down, Jamiroquai, The Gorillaz, Bubba Sparxxx, Kenna, Godsmack, Outkast, Nappy Roots, Kelly Clarkson, Rob Thomas, Ashlee Simpson, DMB, RHCP, Common, Aaliyah, Fallout Boy, Linkin Park, Talib Kweli, Blink 182, Kanye West, Eagles, Good Charlotte,Frank Sinatra, Young Jeezy, John Mayer, Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas, N.E.R.D., Natasha and Daniel Bedingfeild, Akon, Harry Connick, Barry White, Jack Johnson, and Three Doors Down. As far as producers goes we are influenced by The Neptunes, Timbaland, Andre 3000, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, Jermaine Dupri,Daft Punk, & Darckchild. Favorite composers are Tan Dun, Shigeru Umebayashi, Hans Zimmer, & Howard Shore. We also listen to old school rap and disco. And oh yea, Bluegrass, is that what you expected.
