Thanks for taking the time to visit my music page. Okay, so I've given up on this trying to get songs published bollocks now. It would seem that unless you're writing something brain-achingly bland and formulaic or are clearly some sort of song-writing genius (don't wanna do the former, would never claim to be the latter) then the publishers don't want to know and the performers not going down that good ol' bland, formulaic road are writing their own stuff anyway. So now I'm just writing songs for the hell of it (twelve of 'em now... plus one that was co-written with someone else). I still say there's nothing quite like the feeling of having written an original song from scratch and that's an achievement in itself, as far as I'm concerned. I never wanted to be a performer but I guess I'll have to be at some stage if I want my songs to be heard (which I do) but that'll be further on down the line. It'd be great to one day record my songs properly as well... you know... with proper musicians (not just my decidedly ropey strumming) and a proper producer but while I wait for the opportunity (by which I mean the cold hard cash) for that to happen, good ol' Garageband still proves to be a godsend, even in the hands of someone who has barely more than a clue how to use it. Keep listening folks; there'll be new songs coming soon... I hope :o]
