Born in Havana, Cuba on September 5, 1979, music was on his blood; his grandfather was the founder of “Los Zafiros”. Nestor Mili also wrote for great Cuban singers like Benny More and Celia Cruz, this last one popularized “El Yerbero Moderno” composition that raised his name as a well known Cuban composer on the world scene. Due to this environment, Xavier grew up among famous Cuban musicians like Los Van Van, Isaac Delgado, NG La Banda. Long before his first steps, he learned and mastered “la clave"; fundamental basis of traditional Cuban music. A few years later he began to have his first experiences in the acting business and to a young public, as a member on the popular children’s band “Meñique”. He was only 9 years old when he had the opportunity to join the cast of a television series for children, this time only on a secondary role. Thanks to this incursion into the world of acting and after undergoing rigorous castings, was chosen protagonist on the popular Cuban soap opera “Los Papaloteros”, that was a complete success among the Cuban audience. At the same time he continued studying music, including percussion as basic and piano as second choice. , He then joined “Manuel Saumell” conservatory, where he became a member of “NG Junior”, a full expression of Cuban music presented by the new generation. In 1995 he leaves to Germany, spreading his rich influence and Caribbean flavor among the bands of this country, including the award-winning rock band “Barilla Juice”, or Latin ones like “Salson”, “Salsa Verde”, “La Tripulacion”, etc. In 2003 he performed in a “Chako Music Show”; a cabaret-comedy project co-starring the famous and well known German humorist Christian Habekost “CHAKO”, giving him the opportunity to develop in all his facets….. Success he describes as “a unique experience”. In 2004, Mili started collaborating with two of Europe’s most famous producers Frank Dursthoff and June Rollocks; known artistically as ( Pappa Bear), recorded a full album with several tracks that went to the hit lists of Dutch radio stations and a video that is in conjunction with one of Spain best seller music compilation cd “La Factoria del Reggaeton Vol. 3” This brought an immeasurable impact to his career, allowing to perform in one of the most exiting and important festivals in Europe “Rotterdam’s Zomercarnaval” sharing his talent with more than 66.000 fans. He now relocated to Miami, Florida to pursuit his dreams. This city opened its doors with great opportunities, like becoming a member of Cuban Timba Allstars; a worldwide exponent of Cuban music, also being part of a big project named “Codigo 537” coming soon to Hispanic television. Mili won’t stop working to gain more knowledge or rest until he achieves that level he’s been searching for his whole life, to share his talent with the world.

EL PIKETE's Oakland Concert Review: "...El Pikete is on Fire -- This band was great in September of 2007, but they've gotten a lot tighter and more aggressive after another 16 months of rehearsing and gigging. New vocalist Xavier Mili is the complete package, combining Lozada-like stage presence and body control with a soaring range that allows him to effortless execute every phrase he imagines. Timba singers, by definition, are without exception bursting with funk and energy, but this guy adds the magic ingredient - control. I had been disappointed that Pepe Montes was no longer with the band, but I quickly forgot about that when I heard 20-year Camilo Pérez, who recently played Paulito's acclaimed Miami show. We also got a truly insane guest performance from another Pérez ... Tony! Pikete has greatly enhanced their palette of rhythm section grooves. Nápoles has several great new bomba figures and there's also - dare I say it? - a little bit of a regueton-ish gear that I actually liked. I knew that reguetón would eventually either die or get turned into something interesting and truly Cuban. As with the previous concert, it was a mix of originals and covers, and there was no doubt that the energy level went through the roof on originals like Este es mi tumbao and the blistering masterpiece Seco y guardao. But the new more sophisticated rhythm section grooves added a new dimension to the covers this time. I've heard Van Van play Nada diferente and Manolito play Marcando la distancia, but not with this kind of bomba and pedal, and Mili has such range that he can nail even El Indio's most inimitable vocalizations..."
