Hyper sex vorteX is the work of one James Kensington-Croft, rake, carouser, society nob and turd about town. It began 11 years ago and Croft, who had had his fill of the decadance of society, decided to quit England and travel the world. So grabbing his boots, crop and luggage he set forth. 2 weeks later after contracting Dengue fever just outside of Portsmouth, he was admitted to a convalescent home near Lower Upham. Here he gained the aquaintance of one Durward St John Smythe. Together, learning of their mutual fondness for music they joined--upon their release--a band of travelling troubadours by the name of Ricky Ricketts Woodwind Wonders. After a ten year tenure and many scuffles over artistic differences, Croft left to strike out on his own. His first album "My Beautiful Lorgnette" was critically savaged as pompous rot. Undeterred and several style changes later we reach the present.
