Peter Bjørn is a Danish singer-songwriter. He was born and raised in Odense.
He began composing at the age of 10. His first songs were in Danish and quite sweet. In high school he began listening to rock music and bands like Led Zeppelin and Supertramp. He also wrote two songs which were performed by his music class at two concerts at his gymnasium.
In the 90's Peter recorded some demos with Danish producer Kim Sagild, which got a positive response from various Danish record companies.
In the mid-1990's Peter moved to San Sebastián, a beautiful city in the Basque country in the Northern Spain. In just 9 months he played 17 gigs at local bars, using only his piano as acompaniment to his songs.
In November 2000 Peter's song "The things you love" was played in a broadcast in the Danish national radio and later also at various local radio stations.
In 2006 Peter produced the CD "Salmer og orgelkoraler", released on ClasicO Records. It includes Danish hymns and chorals for organ composed by Leif Munk Hansen.
A Danish music critic Niels Harbo once wrote that Peter writes songs which seem to appear with ease and without a lot of efforts, as if they had flown directly into his hands.
At the moment Peter is working on new material in his home studio, and he hopes some of the recordings may be strong enough for a debut album.
