About Me

Bee Moe $lim has been dubbed, "Da Pride of Da Southside", a title reflecting the self-confidence displayed within his style of music.
A native of College Park, GA, Bee Moe represents the dedication, work ethic, and style that makes Atlanta the Mecca for southern styled hip-hop and rap. Bee Moe $lim began rapping during his senior year while attending the infamous Banneker High School in College Park. He became friends with some guys that belonged to a record pool that deejayed the school dances, but didn't give rapping much thought until two friends entered his high school's talent show. Originally slated to be a three man show, Bee Moe dropped out when he felt that his rhymes were not up to par for the occasion. It was then that he started learning rhyme structure and how to count bars. Influenced early on by artists like 2Pac, Spice 1, Ice Cube, Method Man and others, Bee Moe spent days listening to both East Coast and West Coasts artists. "I didn't know it then, but I was doing research. We would ride around high, analyzing what these cats would be saying, rewinding the track when somebody said a hot line, then debating on why it was a hot line," he recalls. Bee Moe did not begin to get serious about being in front of the mic until he attended Clark Atlanta University, where he majored in business administration. It was during that time that he would go on to purchase two albums that would significantly change his life. Those albums, Snoop Dogg's "Doggystyle" and OutKast's "Southernplayalisticadillacmusik", convinced him that rapping was his true calling, and laid the foundation for the artist he is to date.
In 1999, Bee Moe started his own independent record label, One In Da Chamber Records and recorded his first song in 2000. Since that time, he has gone on to record well over 150 songs using his own money. He has appeared on 2002's indie release, "The Great Conjunction" by Emmanuel Faces (track number 10, "All I's On Me" feat. Lil' Ace Aleone, BoHagon, and Emmanuel Faces) and amassed two albums of unreleased material. He has performed in various clubs in Atlanta, the most notable being the Great Atlanta MusicFest in July 2004, sponsored by Georgia State University. With his commanding voice, clever wordplay, rhyme construction and effortless flow, Bee Moe $lim is definitely proving himself a force to be reckoned with!
Not only is Bee Moe $lim an aspiring MC, he also showcases his many talents with his photography and graphic design skills. Through his own graphic design business ($limvisualz), he designs CD covers and inserts for other artists, and has also supplied the photography on the CD traycard for 2002's "The Great Conjunction" by Emmanuel Faces, the insert for 2007's Jimmy Nalls edition of the Fuck Yo' Favorite Rapper Mixtape Series, Vol. 1., and 2008's "All Or Nothing" by Rallo G.
2009 saw another accomplishment for Bee Moe $lim as he made his directorial debut in his second music video (Ride Wit' Me) from his newly released solo album. This has allowed him to venture into a new avenue.....acting. Bee Moe $lim made his film debut in this year's independent action/thriller, "Night Of The Jackals" (TPN1/Steel City Pictures), will also appear in another cameo role in the upcoming "For Thy Love 2: Love Hurts", and is currently developing his own screenplay ("Lock & Load") to be produced by the same film studio with an accompanying soundtrack showcasing his One In Da Chamber Records labelmates.

The voice grabs your attention.....the lyrics keeps you focused.....the swag is undeniable. Able to flow effortlessly on any track regardless of what region it originated from, Bee Moe $lim truly achieves that universal sound that you want to have as an artist not looking to be categorized based solely off of where you were born.
