About Me

the gift machine is mainly the moniker for the songs of Dave Matthies, but has featured many different people over the years. Past members include Karl Blau, Phil Elverum (the Microphones, Mt. Eerie), Nate Ashley, Alex Parrish (Dame Dulce), Lisa Jackson (the Crabs), Steve Moore (Stebmo, Laura Veirs, Mount Analog, etc.), Jeremy Hadley (Vellela Vellella), and many more. .
