My name is Aaron Harel and at the age of 14, I have to honestly say that I think I am an extremely accomplished drummer. On Stage I will put on a show that is sure to make you go, “How and what is he doing?†I have been come to be known as the drummer to fill in for any band on the spot and play any style with confidence and power. I play with such a flamboyant original style that the drums become my partner in dance so to say. I move around the kit with fluidity and wake up the crowd with my energy and stick flips. For half of my life my technique and sound has been changing and evolving to form what I am today. My style can be described as a mix between Terry Bozzio, Mike Portnoy, Thomas Pridgen, and Mike Mangini. My solos consist of offbeat explosions, melodic breaks, unbelievable speed, and ever-changing interesting time signatures.
Since I was 7 drums have been taking me to places that I hope will help push me into my dream career of becoming a famous drummer who really improves the world and how we look at it with my band. My band called H-Man’s Cavalry is an alternative, progressive, punk rock band that puts on a very different, engaging, and alternative show that gets the crowd on their feet! One thing that makes our band stick out is our differences. One guitarist is an alternative, rock and, metal, one is into grunge, and punk rock, and the bassist is into alternative and death metal. We all come together to form an unmistakable, mesmerizing, fantastic explosion of a show!
Through all of the 7 years of Guitar Center and Musicians Friend magazines I have received a good deal of knowledge about drums and having knowledge means you are also a critic. Knowing what drums are missing you crave the need to fix it which is what I have decided to do. Having all of my beginner gear, crappy cymbals and snares, I started to work to make them useable gear. With the metal snares I started hammering, painting, and adding a special feature that I developed and should be patented soon so look out for it! I have made and sold numerous snare drums and would like to start up a small company soon. I have also started working on cymbals lately. I would hammer sand down (I don’t have a lathe haha), and firing witch would literally consists of throwing the cymbals into a campfire giving them a crisp sound and a smokey, dark, natural look. I hope one day to either work with a drum company to develop some of my ideas or own my own company.

---14" fired and hammered hats made from sabian b8 pro and vintage ludwig/paiste. B8 pro was hammered than fired and drilled for 4 rivets towards the bell with only two rivets inserted. Ludwig/Paiste was hammered then sanded down and fired. I then applied 2 layers of polyurethane and a red stain to the bell. These hats are LOUD and crispy.
---16" Hammered, Drilled, and Sanded crash made from xs20 medium thin crash. 8 Holed drilled midway through the crash with a sanded band going outwards from the holes toward the bell.
---14" Fired, Hammered, and Drilled, trash kang bell. I started with a zbt bottom hihat then pretty much mutilated it with a hammer. I then drilled it and fired it. Two rivets are inserted and this thing is NASTY. It has an extreemely dirty, quick, ride sound.
