Called a "natural jazz singer," she is much loved in Boston for her natural stage manner and sultry and sweet jazz stylings. She can also take on pop and R&B with gusto, and her original folk/rock music has been listed on CMJ 's Top 30 Play List of college radio stations.
Christy has had the privilege to work in live performance situations with Dianne Reeves, Kim Nazarian and Peter Eldridge of the New York Voices, Brenda Russell, Greg Philinganges, and the Yellowjackets, among many others. She also toured with 2003 Grammy Award Nominee Patti Austin as a singer in her national "BeboperElla" tour. She is signed to the Geneon label in Japan, and has two CD's released with vocal group Syncopation, "A New Dance" and "Of Blue." Christy was featured with the group at the 2004 and 2006 IAJE Conferences in New York City, the 2005 Meihon Jazz Festival in Japan and the 2006 Tanglewood Jazz Festival.Christy attended Emerson College's Honors Communications Program and received her undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music. She is currently pursuing her master's degree at Boston University.
