Anything that seems completely insane on the surface level, but has a much deeper rationality to it. Anything that I can do at the moment that causes someone to want tell a story about me, and then never truly be able to explain it to someone.
This is it, folks. This is the idea which has kept me virtually unknown for the past 16 years. I have watched my crowds dwindle. I am going nowhere, and nowhere quick, but, those of you who have children, I am sorry to tell you this, but they are not special. Wait! I know some of you are going: "What, what?" Let me just clarify: I know you think they're special … ha ha ha! I'm aware of that. I'm just here to tell you that they're not! Ha ha ha ha! Sorry. Did you know that every time a guy comes, he comes two-hundred million sperm? One out of two-hundred million – that load, we're only talking about one load – connected: Gee, what are the fucking odds? Do you know what that means? I've wiped nations off of my chest with a grey gym sock. Entire civilizations have flaked and crusted in the hair around my navel! […] I've tossed universes in my underpants while napping. Boom! A Milkyway shoots into my jockeyshorts: "Unngh … what's for fucking breakfast?!" - - The Late Great Bill Hicks
been there, heard it, bored with it. I don't need to search for authenticity in my music, I don't need to find the original band that started it all, I don't need the indie-fueled search for the great unknown band... if I like it, I'll play it... it's that simple.
Far too many to list... Brick, The Chumscrubber, Thank you for smoking, Sexual Life, waking life, and tons of others...
Sadly, I only watch 4 shows religiously. The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, House, and 24... Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert need to run this country, Hugh Laurie is freakin' smexy in his unshaven way... and 24 is so completely and utterly unrealistic that it makes me happy.
Well besides the obvious Hunter S. Thompson stuff... anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Terry Pratchett (cept the granny weatherwax stuff... those never really appealed to me... SCREW THE HEDGEHOG SONG!!)Lord Byron is my favorite poet... and then I go into random titles and classics... reading is a favorite hobby of mine though.
Cuchulainn, Audie Murphy, Eddie Chapman, Ali ibn Abi Talib, LT Zvika Greengold, Sgt. Warren G.H. Crecy, SGT Dan Daly, Kefka Palazzo, The Blues Brothers, The Dude, Miyamoto Musashi, Sun Tzu, The BFG 9000, and Socrates...
