The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund is endorsing Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich. Join us in the fight to defeat Steve Pearce who has repeatedly taken money from "Big Oil" and voted against clean energy legislation, as well as legislation that would combat global warming.
The Defenders Action Fund nationally focuses on stopping the anti-conservation policies of the Bush administration and, in the past, the anti-conservation policies of the Congress too. It educates the public about the legislative records of members of Congress, especially through its Conservation Report Card, www.defendersactionfund.org/report.html. It lobbies to defeat bad environmental policies, and runs public education campaigns designed to hold Representatives and Senators accountable to the public for their actions. The Fund will educate voters about the choices they face on Election Day 2008 and how those choices impact our country's wildlife, its habitat and the environment we share. The Fund will work to motivate conservation voters as Election Day nears and encourage them to make their voice heard at the ballot box.
Endorsements:
The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund has officially endorsed Barack Obama for President of the United States, as well as Joe Biden for Vice President. We have endorsed Obama and Biden because they offer clear and cohesive plans in nearly all areas of the environment, including energy solutions that would benefit the environment as well as our future.
We are endorsing Tom Udall for Senate because he has been a leader in clean energy legislation, and will fight hard to make New Mexico a national leader in alternative energy technologies, such as wind and solar powers.
The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund is endorsing Martin Heinrich for New Mexico's First Congressional District because he will fight to protect our environment for future generations. He played key roles in protecting Valle Vidal and the Ojito Wilderness.
