Punk DJ - New bootlegs in player

I got into music at the young age of 4 when my parents bought a keyboard and noticed i had an ear for it. After years of keyboard and piano lessons, i realized i was not going to be a successful musician in that field so, i tried my hand at computer based production. After being introduced to dance music whilst on a trip to fabric, I decided this was what I wanted to do. Starting out on early versions of 'Cakwalk' and 'Acid pro' my early attempts at dance music were usually hollow sounding house tracks. After attending most of an 'electronic music production' course in London, learning to use more effective software and techniques along with discovering breaks, I was clear about what I wanted to do. Being a Pianist/Keyboard player for so many years meant that I played/listened to a great deal of different genres of music. I find i can take inspiration and influence from almost anything that i hear but, the more obvious influences are modern artists. I take alot of inspiration from jungle, drum and bass and oldskool stuff mainly because of big beats and big bass and the general nastiness of it all. But i can take ideas in from literally anywhere, from old to new, weird to contemporary. Inside of breakbeat, I love the sounds of 'Evil Nines' beats, the tearout sounds of 'Hardcore Beats' and other similar labels, the DJ sets of the freestylers or the unique sound of 'Freq Nasty'. The list is endless. The Plump DJs have to be the main influence to me, as the first breaks i heard and their the use of odd 'squeeks and bleeps' and the pioneering sound which they have created.
I'm a keen DJ with limited experience of playing live. I have played out many times but generally the occasions have been no more than a handful of people dancing around a big(ish) pub style venue. I am very anxious to be a DJ along side making tunes, with the eventual aim of putting on a 'PunkDJ' show, hopefully, one day live . Ideally i just want to make my living doing what i love most.
