Meryl Streeps Fansite!

Meryl was born Mary Louise Streep on june 22, 1949 in Summit, New Jersey where she lived until she left for Vassar College. At Vassar she majored in drama and then went to Yale Drama School where she earned her MFA. She starred in numerous theatrical productions at Yale where her talent was quickly spotted and developed. Within a short amount of time Meryl was performing in productions in New York City and not long after that her talent was displayed on the big screen. She is well known as an actor who takes emotion very seriously and undertakes deep preparation for her films. She has learned multiple languages for roles as well as musical instruments. She is also a master at accents. Her performance in Sophie's Choice, for which she won an Oscar, was recently awarded the 3rd best performance in movie history. Meryl has won 2 Academy Awards, 6 People's Choice awards, 5 Golden Globes, and 1 Emmy. She has earned more Academy Award nominations than any actress in history. She currently lives in Connecticut wither her husband and children.
